It's the week before my wedding...
I'm sure your mind is full of mental checklists. Your planning notebook is full of literal checklists.
I'm going to make things simple. Here's what you need to do to prep for the best, stress free photo experience on your wedding day!
- Family Formal List: Please make sure to email the list of your important family formal portraits to me if you haven't already. I will have this list on my phone and go through your exact list on the wedding day. Remember, biggest groups go first. And remember to estimate every photo on the list will take approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Flat lay items: Have a designated box with your most important detail items to photograph. This box can include any of the following:
- Rings
- Formal Invitations
- Jewelry / Watch
- Vow books
- Cuff links
- Perfume or cologne
- Heirloom items
- Borrowed / blue items
- Fabric or ribbon
- BLOOMS! Ask your florist for some extra blooms to elevate the flat lay photos
- Getting ready photos: By the time I arrive on a wedding day, you've been enjoying the morning eating a glorious breakfast, drinking mimosas, pampering yourself and your group with hair and makeup. This usually means the lovely getting ready locations are a bit untidy. I am all about capturing the true moments of the day, but the extra clutter can be distracting in photos. Before I arrive, assign a bridesmaid or groomsman to clear up the counter spaces and collect jackets, garment bags and backpacks all in one location so your space is ready for those dazzling getting ready photos. We want the focus to of course be on YOU!
- Final payment: About one week before your wedding you'll receive a final payment reminder. You can submit final payment directly online, or bring a check/cash with you the day of the wedding.
That's it! You're ready! I'm ready! I cannot wait to share this day with you and write your story in pictures!
